Low death, enough food and drinks, entertainment and etc. Trust me, when those conditions go down, you will be really waiting for a next wave to help solving issues in your fort.

 
This may be a weird question, but how do I stop dwarves from migrating to my city? Every time I manage to build enough rooms for my current population I get more and more arriving, and I'm starting to run out of space (My location seems to have a LOT of water and I have damp rocks EVERYWHERE)..
